This guy knows how to wash his car, requiring only a hose and a sponge. And you guys spending hundreds on products, microfiber and polishing tools.
He says in the video "I just wait half an hour and then I start it and it goes".
See? All natural, no chemicals, no abrasion. Just water, love and some lettuce on the roof.
![]() 10/18/2013 at 10:45 |

all thats missing is shooting the floor pan with a rifle to drain the water out

So is this Latino Larry
Love his detail work!
I wouldn't even clean my boat like that, and the boat controls are water resistant....

Nah, over here they can't simply fire rifles in the middle of the street.
He'd use a pickaxe or a hammer and a 9" nail, probably.
Or whatever... he hoses his car down, we can't really predict his genius ideas.

Oh this isn't one of those "Drive Clean" videos?

Someone probably should have checked to see if her husband, boyfriend, and/or boss were all accounted for. That high pressure spray probably works wonders on bloodstains.

Why wash if you don't care anymore?
![]() 10/18/2013 at 17:15 |

This is why my Suzuki Samurai has no floor pan drains plugs, and the interior is bed-lined. Hose it out after a long off-road trip of mud, dust, cig-butts, spilled beer and blood.
![]() 10/18/2013 at 17:16 |

so this is why wranglers have drain plugs

Once, when I worked as a detailer, we had a guy come in with this totally scabrous Mitsu Colt (IIRC). Not only had the plastic done that odd semi-sublimation they seemed to do in that era, but the guy was a freaking pig. Porous absorbent plastic, any number of food and beverage spills, a recipe for disaster.
This clown spent $1500 or something (engine rebuild IIRC?) and the service manager wanted it detailed.
So we powerwashed the thing, inside, outside, up and down. Not some candy ass hose with a finger over the end. Full on industrial powerwash.
Shopvacced it dry, better than new. Bet the windows even stayed clean for more than a week, which in that day of outgassing vinyl was unheard of.

Doesn't really sound russian + the car wears italian plates. I'd go with something in the balkans. Albanian mafia maybe?

Haha, I'll admit to hosing down inner door panels of basic work trucks that were filthy. Most of the older trucks basically had just a sheet of plastic with a door handle and a crank, nothing to go wrong if it got wet. I've also sprayed out vinyl floors before, but using the low pressure setting or a hose as not to get water up under the dash.
![]() 10/18/2013 at 17:44 |

No clue, just assumed. It's an old video that I was just reminded of.

![]() 10/18/2013 at 17:54 |

Well, that's a necessity for the one guy who goes mudding (and the 99 others that leave the soft top at home on the day it decides to rain).
Didn't the Xterra come with a hose-able interior? And/or the Element?
Owning a Jeep Patriot, all i can say is that i wish they came that way.

When I was a kid, my mom had an old Rambler. I didn't get car sick. Ever.
That isn't to say I never got too-big-a-milkshake-on-a-hot-day sick as a kid and once, did so all over the drivers side rear door, inside and out.
Now, it's important to note that it wasn't a special car, at the time, and everything was manual, more or less, with the only electronics up front, and that's why my mother was okay blasting the puke-blasted, vinyl interior with the spray nozzle.
Having said that, anything forward of about 1970, with power anything, sprayed down like this is bound to be a future fucktastic.

Was going to post this too. I reallllly don't like most Benzs, especially these ones, but it still made me cringe

I bet that other parents did that to their older cars too.
![]() 10/18/2013 at 18:26 |

Wouldn't surprise me even a little.
Cars were, once upon a time, decidedly more robust in some areas and relied more on simple mechanical engineering than complicated electric motors and systems. Sure, the moisture is never good, but sometimes it's worse.
Such as above.

There's a 90s Escort (except US model of course) like that one for sale in my neighborhood. $600. If I need a commuter in the next week, I'll wash it like that
![]() 10/18/2013 at 19:32 |

This is pretty common when you're into off roading. Most of that sort of SUV/truck/buggy has a water friendly interior, though.

Eh, I've owned a couple of older Land Rovers, Series 2's, 3's, and there is no better way to clean them out inside than with a pressure washer. Now, I admit I wouldn't take that approach with a new Range Rover... ;)
![]() 10/18/2013 at 19:50 |

I did this once on my Geo Prism. It made my airbag light come on and stay on seriously effecting the resale value. I only got $1300 for it when it was worth at least $1350.

LOL "Ze Maccarao" (Pasta Ze). This guy is Brazilian as hell. Which, given how he's washing his car, doesn't surprise me.

![]() 10/18/2013 at 20:21 |

I used to have an Element and belonged to an online owners group. There were entire threads about the hose-out-able myth, strongly advising owners not to do it even on a limited basis such as the rear cargo area, as there were wires under the rubber flooring that could get damaged. Some of the earliest Elements might be approaching the don't-[care] category, though.
![]() 10/18/2013 at 20:28 |

You still took that guy to the cleaners, though. Well played.

There are two times. The other time is when your car is a Jeep.
If I'm not supposed to wash it with a hose, why does it have all those drain plugs?

I used to hose down the inside of my '00 TJ and dry it with a leaf blower. But the pressure washer is a whole new level.

Only the FD2 models, and then you're stuck with the shifty CVT trans. Thank gawd mine is a FWD model... fml.
Seriously, for a 4-door hatchback, it can hold its own. No, seriously, stop laughing.

You're the one-percent guy, someone who actually does the Jeep thing, and not someone who does the mall thing in a Jeep. Good on ya, man.

Hand gun is easier to place where you want the holes, but honestly pulling the floor drain plugs is easier. If you don't have drains where you need them, a center punch and hammer works best.
![]() 10/19/2013 at 04:36 |

Reminds me of this:
![]() 10/19/2013 at 04:42 |

This is what it looks like when you actually don't give a fuck, you don't bother washing the inside, you wait for it to rain, because you have no windows. The only washing you should ever do, is to remove the accumulation that is interfering with the mechanical functions of the car.
![]() 10/19/2013 at 05:05 |

I'm pretty sure that washing a brand new CLS with a power hose, beats the initial video :)

If one of my little bastard children puked all over the back seat of my worthless Prius you GOD DAMN RIGHT I would hose the car, and him, down just like this. Then i would take him to Chucky Cheese and buy him things for doing to that Prius exactly what should happen to all Prii - VOMIT!!!
